SOUTH PORT SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB
David (Wal) Watt is a life member of the South Port SLSC and the Clubhouse & Bar Manager which position he has held for seven years between 1997 and 2016. He has also been Club Captain eight times between 1986-1994. Wal puts his heart and soul into running the club and bringing in much needed funds to support other aspects of the club. He not only runs the bar and keeps the clubhouse looking its best but he also takes on the role of function manager, working at the events and organising everything in the background that no one sees. He volunteers countless hours which are invaluable to keeping the club going not only through the lifesaving season but in the off season too. Our club is forever grateful for his time and devotion. He well and truly is a worthy nomination for the Good Sports “Beating Heart” award.
