Erin is the beating heart of our club as she quite simply is involved in everything and we would be lost without her. Erin sacrifices her time so that the club can function and get the most out of the small resources that we have. She is on the General Committee and on the Social/Fundraising Committee. Erin organises all of the club membership payments and distribution of information (roughly 220 members). She also is responsible for the ordering and purchasing of all of the club merchandise. Erin is an active organiser and volunteer at all of our functions including both Junior and Senior Registration days. Erin is the Administration for the North Whyalla Facebook page with is essential for getting timely information out to the members.

Erin does all of this outside of her full time job which often requires her to travel out of Whyalla. This means that Erin spends a high proportion of her own personal time helping the club.

Erin is also involved on a counter tea roster to help prepare, cook, serve meals for the club – this often involves shopping and preparation done the day before the counter tea night. She has also been actively involved in Thursday night meals for the players.

Erin is also the runner, team manager AND waterperson for our U17s!

Erin proactively organised fundraising events like player schnitzel nights which help bring the club together.

There are probably many other examples of why Erin is the beating heart of the club and it is often the smaller things in times of need for which we are the most grateful like last minute pick up of stock for the club, a quick dash to a shop to get more change for the till. Too many examples to mention and she would do much more than most are aware.

Erin does everything that is asked and we would be lost without her. I can’t think of anyone that would be more deserving of this nomination.
