GEEBUNG BOWLS CLUB
Fay is an amazing Club member and has definitely been the beating heart of our Club since joining the Club some 35years ago! She is a generous soul endlessly volunteering her time and skills. She has been Junior Vice President, Senior Vice President, President, Committee member, Ass. Secretary, (breathe!), Secretary (for 11 years!) , Ass. Games Director, Games Director, Selector, Gaming nominee and Ladies Patron (10 years and counting). Phew! It’s no surprise she is a Life Member! If Fay could bowl 24hours a day I think she would. She has won the Novice singles, the B Singles, the A singles (six times!), the pairs, triples and the fours umpteen times, Metropolitan pairs and fours and came 3rd in the Australian Pairs. In her spare time she loves to knit, crochet and cook (her rocky road is famous). There are always several prized samples donated for the cent auction and raffle tables. She even ran the catering for 7 years (no small feat).
Fay has an incredibly impressive list of titles each representing many hours of dedication and hard yakka. Fay truly is a marvel and is the perfect example of “The beating heart of our Club”.
SAY SOMETHING GREAT ABOUT FAY
Evelyn Watson says,
"Fay is a very valuable member of the Geebung Bowls Club. She is always willing to put herself forward for anything and everything."
"Fay is very deserving!! Happy to sign!"
Bernardine Wilton says,
"Fay is one of the best volunteer members of Geebung Bowls club. For many years she held the position of secretary and she is now our Patron. Fay looks after the Pokie machines at the club and has assembled a team of like minded helpers to count up the money and make sure things are handled correctly as per the laws. Fay is always helping to fundraise for the club and has spent many hours in the kitchen helping out at functions. But most of all Fay is an absolute inspiration to the younger members of the club - her selfless dedication is unmatched - she is an absolute star!"
