JIm has been a member of Pirates for over 30 years being awarded Life membership many years ago. for his dedication and work for Pirates Rugby.

Retired and back in Tamworth for a number of years, Jim has jumped back into the club, taking on the role of treasurer and bar manager as well as strapping players in his spare moments. His passion is Rugby! His passion is Pirates! For the last five years his life has been Pirates Rugby. For many years previously he tread the same path.

Many hours are spent both balancing thee books, ordering stock or generally worrying about the welfare of the Pirates club and its players. rarely does Jim see a game too busy with the game day organisation and smooth running of the club. He forgoes this opportunity to watch his beloved teams so Pirates can benefit, the players can benefit.

First to the game each week with cash boxes, tills and paperwork in hand, Jim is also last to, leave, making certain each players leaves safely and arrives home in the same way. His reward is seeing Pirates flourish, His recognition is minimal but worth it? One only ahs to see Jim’s face each week to know. .
