PJ is the heart of the Wagga Mountain Bike Club. He is the current president and one of the founding members since 2005. He is the first to sacrifice his own opportunity to ride in order to run an event for others to enjoy. A good example of his level of dedication to the club is the following, he camped as secrurity for setup for our local 6 hr race in the pouring rain which flooded his tent .. He spent half the week on rollers leveling dirt for the driveway in case emergency services needed to get access, he also had to change direction of the race more than once during the race due to safety and track deterioration. He was involved in every aspect of the race organization physically ( building tracks) and admin, all done without complaint or fanfare. Top it all off he genuinely enjoys seeing the riders and spectators having a successful and fun day. The club would be lost without him.

"Wether it be a working bee, monthly meeting, come & try day or local mtb race he's always the first to arrive and quite often the last to leave. Volunteering for an 8hr trail working bee in less than favourable conditions is made easy knowing you'll get to hang out with PJ and the rest of the usual crew. He genuinely puts everyone else before himself and is a great mentor to all members of the club e.g. He keeps young members engaged during working bees by giving them responsibilities & making the tasks fun for them and He's always there to offer advice or just give a pat on the back to any members that step up to manage a race/meeting. He is a very passionate member of the mtb club and the sporting community of Wagga Wagga. He is respected by all members of the club and a friend to each and everyone of us. Possibly the nicest bloke you'd ever meet...... We are extremely lucky to have him!"
