Scot Nicholson has been involved in several volunteering roles within Ballan Bowling Club.
These roles include serving as the 33rd President of Ballan BC and the youngest person in club history to hold office at 23-years-old. He is also the Public Relations and Social Media Officer. Nicholson assists in the administration and day-to-day operations of the club.

Nicholson has been a member of Ballan BC since 2008 when he joined the organisation as an 18-year-old.

Nicholson has been a proud advocate for increasing the image of bowls within rural and regional communities.
He has increased the club’s social media presence to become the most interacted club in the Central Victoria Bowls Region. With print media he has contributed match recaps and human-interest pieces to both The Moorabool News and The Miner.
He manages the Ballan BC Bowls Connect online database as well.

In addition Nicholson also held the role of Assistant Secretary with Ballarat District Bowls Division and was appointed Super Dome Series Operations Manager.
Nicholson is currently running for election on the Bowls Victoria Board of Directors.
He was a driving factor in updating the Ballan BC constitution to become a truly unified club that doesn’t discriminate based on sex or gender
He has also successfully won grants through VicHealth and Moorabool Shire Council to see the club gain new playing equipment and improve concrete paving around the bowling green.
