Our nominee has been at the Club for over 25 years. Teddy started his time at our Club by bringing down his son Daniel to learn the game of cricket and become actively involved in a local sporting Club during the footy “off season”. Even though Daniel has since relocated to Queensland, Teddy has continued his engagement with our Club as an active volunteer.
Teddy has been on the Executive Committee as President, Secretary, Vice President as well as a player over his time at the Hampton Park Cricket Club. Teddy has overcome many obstacles over the past five to ten years, including both himself and wife fighting and beating significant illnesses. Not once, has this stopped Teddy from participating and completing in the ongoing preparations for the impending seasons, or the ongoing maintenance required around the Club throughout the season.
When volunteers are needed for any jobs around the Club, Teddy is the first there with hand held high in the air and voice louder than Bon Scott at an ACDC concert, calling for more people to step forward.
Teddy has impacted on the lives of so many members through his loyality to our Club. He has been a role model and leader who has imparted his own values of hard work and committment on not only the junior members at our Club but the Senior members and players also. Every Club needs a Teddy to survive and we are very grateful that we have ours.
